Examination and consultation
Bleeding gums, raised mobile teeth or exposed necks of teeth is indication for a gum treatment (periodontal therapy). An examination by a periodontist, dentist or dental hygienist can use simple diagnostic methods to determine whether you need periodontal therapy. At our clinic, you can get a comprehensive examination and advice in this regard.
Periodontal treatment
If left untreated, a gum disease (periodontitis) can lead to tooth loss. The Therapy of a periodontitis contains of a professional tooth-cleaning, adaption of the oral hygiene and if necessary changes in habits of tobacco use or unhealthy diet. In advanced cases, a gum surgery with regular follow-up examinations may be necessary. A completed therapy of a periodontitis has a professional long-term care. This can reduce the risk of (further) tooth loss.
Range of treatment
The range of treatments includes therapy and a long-term care of all types of gum disease and if possible with the regeneration of lost periodontium as well with the placement of dental implants.
Further, also inflammatory problems around the dental implants (periimplantitis) can be treated at our clinic. All work steps are checked by our instructors in order to be able to offer you a high-quality work.
Treatment at the study course
To make a professional tooth cleaning with the adaption of the oral hygiene as well as any tobacco cessation or dietary change, you can treated by our student of the 4th and 5th study year.
If a solution with implants as abutments for new dental crowns seems reasonable, the crown or bridge can also made in the student course. All surgical procedures will performed by experienced dentists at our clinic.
The cost of the treatment includes all expenses for the examination, the dental service, the used material, as well as the services of the dental technician. For all treatments, after a thoroughly examination we will submitted a detailed cost estimate for discussion and acceptance. New patients are usually allocated to students before the start of a new semester. However, we are happy to accept patients for courses on an ongoing basis.
